We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO). Data protection inquiries should be directed to hello@20thousandleagues.com.
We only collect personal data when you actively provide it or when it is collected automatically through standard web analytics.
If you submit our Contact form, we collect:
Please do not include sensitive personal data, confidential records, passwords, health information, financial account details, or similar material in the free-text message field.
This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and to manage subsequent correspondence. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract — or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
Required fields are name, work email address, company, message, and acknowledgement of this privacy notice. If you do not provide the required fields, we cannot reliably identify the inquiry or reply to it.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our website. This may collect:
This data is pseudonymised at collection. We do not combine analytics data with other personal information to build identifiable user profiles. We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled and Google Signals disabled.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent, given via the cookie consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer.
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to function correctly and cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use our site. These are loaded only after you give consent via the cookie consent banner shown on first visit. You can review and withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer.
We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies.

We use the following third-party services on this website. Each acts as a data processor under GDPR where it processes personal data on our behalf. Where any processor processes data outside the EU/EEA, transfers are protected by the relevant adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
When you interact with any of the above, the respective service's privacy policy also applies:
Contact-form inquiries are retained for 24 months from the date of submission. If an inquiry results in a client engagement, the associated data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus the period required under the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Bogføringsloven) — five years from the end of the relevant financial year. Inquiries with no further contact within 24 months are deleted.
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' configured retention setting (we use the standard 14-month setting; data older than 14 months is deleted automatically by Google).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share personal data only with the third-party processors named in Section 4, and only as necessary to operate the website and respond to inquiries. We may also disclose data where required by Danish or EU law or by a competent authority.
This website is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@20thousandleagues.com and we will take steps to delete the data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact: hello@20thousandleagues.com
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet): www.datatilsynet.dk

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. The website is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiries inside our configured contact and CRM systems is restricted to authorised practitioners.
